    I grew up in New York and finished high school in Texas. Even though I had a lot of medical issues as a kid, I was alway active and pushed my own limits when it comes to fitness, both physically and mentally. Even after heart surgery I knew I wanted to be involved in helping change lives but wasn’t sure how at first. Then after high school I went to college and worked at the gym and there my passion for fitness grew from a hobby to a career. Growing up I was into everything from MMA to basketball, football and baseball. In high school I did gymnastics for a year and played varsity basketball. Erik has trained since 2008 and has been managing top gym facilities for the last seven year. I lead one of the biggest Nike Training Club classes in Texas and also is an Insanity Instructor. With a specialty in performance enhancement training, and creating HIIT programs and metabolic resistance training programs, I brought my motivation and high energy to help create Performance GX! I enjoy Mud runs, Basketball, MMA. Capoeira, Football, and of course Crossfit. Logging in over 10,000 training hours, I’ve been very proficient in group and one on one training. Erik adopts the SAID principle philosophy of “ our bodies will adapt to the workload we put it under.

    I was a collegiate soccer athlete at Hardin Simmons University, Go Cowboys! I started my CrossFit journey in 2014 here at PGX. I fell in love with Crossfit and decided to pursue the Level 1 Certification and here I am, coaching Crossfit! I am a physical education teacher and thought I was in shape until being introduced to a Crossfit WOD. I was instantly hooked. I currently teach Physical Education in Richardson ISD where my students get introductions to functional movements now. I enjoy teaching and training at PGX and I hope to share my passion for fitness and helping others.
